Christmas tree worms

With the Big C fast approaching I notice lots of people are posting pictures of their Christmas trees.  Well here’s one that most people will not have seen before.   It’s not actually a plant but a worm that disappears back into its hole if you get too close, no suprise then, that it’s called a Christmas tree worm.  You may even notice a resemblance to a plant in the film Avatar.
