One of my pictures from Ambon made it into the guardians wildlife of the week series – link (pic 15) One thing not mentioned is the nudibranch was also laying eggs, they’re the red ribbon bit in the picture.

Am I right in thinking, though, that it’s only a symbiotic relationship if both parties benefit from the arrangement?
I’ve looked into this before & to be honest I just got confused! Some say there has to be mutual benefit while others will include parasites as being in a symbiotic relationship purely because they live together. I wouldn’t argue either way really 🙂
