What exactly is wildlife?

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been considering what exactly I call wildlife.  I’ve always been honest about my captive bred shots as why would I feel the need to deceive anybody?  The term wildlife seems to mean different things to different folks, some even suggesting, or actually insisting that a pet cat or dog is wildlife.  I don’t get this at all, if something is an animal does that automatically mean I should call it wildlife? Should I start uploading pictures of people eating as it shows animal behaviour? Nope, because its not wildlife is it? I’ve come to the conclusion that for me, something can only be described as wildlife if its not actually owned by anyone. So the next time you see an amazing picture of a bird of prey where grass is covering its legs, just think to yourself, is that grass covering the falconers jesses? Can you guess which one of these I call wildlife? 🙂
