Stonechat (Saxicola torquata)

Pictures of Stonechats Saxicola torquata at Beachy Head

We had a morning out on Beachy Head a couple of days ago and managed to snap a few Stonechats.  The Latin name is Saxicola torquata.  Very cool little birds & you can usually hear them singing away, sounding much like a couple of stones being knocked together.  If I had my brains with me I guess I could have taken a little video, maybe next time.

I love the backgrounds you can get while taking pictures of Stonechats etc. on Beachy head.
