It’s that time of year again when our little Cherry tree decides to blossom. This usually happens in late March so bang on time this year. I took a few mornings out to photograph the birds that visit. The vast majority of these are Starlings and House sparrows but the odd Greenfinch and Goldfinch turned up too. I guess you could call these typical UK garden birds, they’re certainly typical for our garden.
These were taken on a Canon 5D MKiv and 500mm lens from about 20ft away, for anyone interested in the tech side of things.
Spring Cherry blossom photos

Probably our most common visitor, it gets noisy as hell when the young turn up later in the year

The House sparrows are busily building nests in our eaves and a bird box we have up by the kitchen at the moment, we’ll see how successful they are!
